Iron Men's Ministries, recently surveyed the men of Bethany First Church to determine how to best serve the needs of men in our church.
We had 360 men respond to the survey, and we listened! As a result we have set our calendar of events for the coming year in line with what we heard. Watch for upcoming events and plan to be involved with as many as you can.
Here is a capsule summary of the findings from the survey:
Men expressed an interest in having meetings on (in order of preference): Wednesday night, Thursday night, Tuesday night, Monday night and Thursday morning.
The preferred method of communicating information (in order of preference) email, bulletin, pulpit.
A number of guys said they did not feel "connected." This will be a focus for us in the year ahead .
Many men said they'd like to have a retreat. We'll look to do that in the fall of 2009.
