Every year the Senior High Ministry at our church goes on a mission trip to help those in need. This year we are heading to El Paso, Texas June 21-28, where we will be working with the General Church of the Nazarene on the Border Initiative.  There we will be working closely with El Paso First Church of the Nazarene.

I have prayerfully decided to participate with other high school students and their families on the upcoming trip to El Paso. As a part of the team, I will be touching lives through compassion and sharing the love of Christ.

I am writing to you because I’m in the process of talking to friends and family about becoming involved in this ministry through financial support and prayer. I believe, as does our church, that ministry is done best though community, and that you can be a part of this community that touches lives all over.

In this ministry, I will be involved in running Vacation Bible Schools, organizing community building events, basic construction, and the greatest thing of all… I will be helping plant another church in the El Paso area!!!  I am really excited about this opportunity to serve and believe that this will be a life-changing experience.  In order for me to participate, I will need to raise $399.00 so that I might be able to give a week out of my summer to invest in others.  This cost includes travel expense, insurance, on-site costs and ministry expenses. I would enjoy having the opportunity to talk with you about this upcoming ministry and answer any questions you might have.

Should you choose to give financially to this ministry, here are the details you will need to know. Checks should be payable to Bethany First Church of the Nazarene. In the memo line of your check, please write “El Paso – my name”. DO NOT make the check out to me, or you will not be eligible for a tax deduction. All checks should be sent to Bethany First Church and the church will send a receipt acknowledging your contribution toward this ministry for tax reporting purposes. Contributions in excess of the published price will be used for El Paso projects.
