Welcome to BFC Caravan!

And Jesus grew in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and men. ~Luke 2:52

What is Caravan?

Caravan is a scouting program where children from Kindergarten to Fifth grade are challenged to grow like Jesus did; mentally, physically, socially and spiritually. Our children have the opportunity to learn about different parts of our lives that impact how we live for God. From Bible Reading and Prayer to Nutrition and Physical Fitness, each topic that they learn is matched with a Bible truth that shows our children no matter what they are doing it should be for the glory of God.

Check out the Caravan blog  for more information and to keep up weekly.

When is Caravan?

Caravan meets every Wednesday night from 7 to 8 p.m.

How do you get involved?

Come on up and join us. Simply download the registration form (Part 1 - Part 2),  complete it and turn it into the Children’s Department or Courtney Marquez, Caravan Director. We will also need a health form on file, so download this too.

Adults are also welcome to join us! We need leaders, helpers, field trip help and guest speakers for specific badges. You can help every week or just one Wednesday night a year. Do you knit, sew, horseback ride, or other special hobbies? Let us know and we may have you join us one night.

Caravan offers two options for children to participate. You can choose either the Scouting track or the Elective track. The children are in the same class and have all the same opportunities to learn.

  • Scouting -provides your child with a scarf, a scarf slide, a book, and all of the badges that he or she will earn that year (parents must sew the badges onto the scarf). This option is $35.

  • Elective-allows your child to participate in the Caravan program, playing all the games, going on the field trips, and classroom work at a reduced rate. This track does not include badges or a scarf instead children receive certificates of completion for each badge. This option is $15.
